In this study, I investigated how frontline workers navigate the emotional and physical toll of data work.
Key Finding: Workplace wellness should not be viewed merely as a human resources policy; it is intricately connected to the technological tools utilized by employees. When there is a misalignment between data systems and employee values, it generates a form of "friction" that adversely affects both data quality and overall employee satisfaction.
